This is the story of Lucian and two other dogs. They were left to die locked in a basement when their owners had to move. Luckily, a good Samaritan found the dogs and turned them over the Luv-A-Bulls Rescue group. They were able to get the dogs medical care via their veterinarian. We were more than willing to donate for the continuing care of Lucian and the other dogs.
Unfortunately the laws in the state where this occurred (Ohio) are not very strict when it comes to animal abuse and even more unfavorable when it has to do with the “bully breeds.” That being said, the person or persons responsible for this horrific occurrence will likely not have a very harsh penalty…
Remember, this type of thing happens all the time. It is up to us to protect and care for our animal companions since we are their voice!
